How it works

Three small habits. One clear picture.

Lucidly takes a minute or two a day. The clarity builds quietly, week by week.

  1. Setting up a protocol in Lucidly: choose a substance, set your dosage, pick a protocol like Stamets Stack or Fadiman, and choose a start date and reminder time
    01

    Set up your protocol

Choose your substance and dose, then a schedule: Stamets Stack, Fadiman, Intuitive, or one you design yourself. Lucidly maps out your dose days and reminds you when it's time.

  2. Daily Check-In

    Go on, try the sliders

    02

    Check in each day

Nine quick sliders, from mood and focus to sleep and social connection. Missed a day? You can log past check-ins too.

  3. Lucidly's Insights: progress on each metric from your baseline to now, a dose day vs. off day chart, and top improvements for a Lion's Mane protocol
    03

    Watch the patterns emerge

See where you started against where you are now, how dose days compare with off days, and what's shifting under each protocol.

Journal · Premium

A journal that listens back.

Write the way you'd talk to a close friend. Lucidly's companion reflects what it hears and asks the kind of question that helps you go one layer deeper.

  • It answers what you actually wroteEvery reflection is drawn from your own words, never a generic prompt.
  • Then it asks one gentle questionReply right there and the conversation keeps going, usually for around five turns, before it settles on its own.
  • One conversation, one entryEach thread saves together, alongside your check-ins and doses, with tags and search to find it later.
  • Questions to come back toNot ready to answer? The companion's questions wait for you as prompts for another day.

  1. I forced myself to go out and work at Met Market because it's something I told myself last night I would do. It feels good to push myself out of a comfort zone I suppose, and feel a bit more a part of things being in public and not by myself at home.

  2. reflection

Actually following through on the promise you made yourself last night, that's not nothing, especially after so many days of just thinking about going somewhere and staying put. Being around people again after stretches of home alone probably felt different in your body before your mind even caught up to it.

What was it like in that first hour at the market, before you settled into it?

  3. It felt good, just walking around, deciding what to eat, finding a place to sit, all little decisions that I think help my brain since it's something different.

  4. reflection

Those small decisions, what to eat, where to sit, sound almost like exercise for a part of your mind that doesn't get much use at home. Nothing was riding on any of it, and maybe that's exactly why it worked. You didn't need the day to be meaningful, just different, and different turned out to be enough.

Your companion

It gets to know you, gently.

The more you check in and write, the better Lucidly's companion understands what you're here for. Everything it offers is drawn from your own words and patterns, never a script.

this morning

You keep coming back to the same quiet question lately: what would the day feel like if you stopped bracing for it before it starts?

Write about this

A daily intention

Each morning your Today screen opens with a line or a question drawn from your recent entries. One tap takes you straight into writing about it.

Companion Reflections

A daily reflection on your Insights page, written only from your own check-ins and journal entries, to help you notice patterns you might have missed.

It learns what you're here for

After a few check-ins it offers a gentle guess at what brought you to microdosing, in your own words. Confirm it, correct it, or name it yourself, and it checks back in as things shift.

Protocol Insight Reports

A full picture of each protocol: doses logged, how consistent you were, your wellness averages, what changed, and your own journal observations. Save it as a PDF to keep, or to share with your coach.

    Know where you are

Your phase and cycle day at a glance, what the phase often brings, and a heads-up before your premenstrual window opens.

  • Charts of mood and symptom intensity across the current cycle with dose days marked in gold, and a protocol impact chart comparing luteal symptoms with days dosed over five cycles

    See it as it happens

  • An end-of-cycle recap: a chart of mood day by day across the phases, with average mood, steadiness, toughest stretch and days tracked

A recap at every cycle’s end

Your mood day by day, your steadiest and toughest stretches, and how this cycle compares with the last.

Step one

Tell it why you’re tracking

Lucidly shapes what it shows you first around your answer. You always have every tool.

  • Just tracking my cycleI want to understand my patterns: cycle, mood, and how microdosing fits in.
  • My cycle gets roughSome days before my period are hard and I want to see what’s going on.
  • I have or think I have PMDDThe days before my period can be severe or debilitating, and I want to track them closely.

Every day

Seven markers join your check-in

With Cycle & Mood on, your daily check-in adds symptom sliders from none to severe, and logging your period takes a moment.

  • Irritability
  • Mood swings
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Bloating
  • Cramps
  • Breast tenderness
  • Headache

At the end of every cycle

Your month, written back to you with care.

When a cycle closes, the companion writes you a recap: what went well, where it got hard, and the patterns worth noticing, in your own words and dates.

  • Every number comes straight from your check-ins. The companion writes around the facts and never makes one up.
  • It notices what repeats before your period, and treats timing as timing, not proof.
  • Save a Cycle & Mood report as a PDF for a coach or clinician.

Cycle recap

Jul 2 – Jul 29 · 28 days

You showed up for every single one of these 28 days, and that kind of steady attention to yourself is worth pausing on before anything else. This cycle opened gently, with July 2 to July 4 as your steadiest stretch, sitting around a 7. On July 11 you wrote that you felt “clear and like myself again,” and it’s good that day is on record, a real point of brightness in the month.

Then the last few days, July 26 to July 28, were genuinely hard, dipping to around a 3. On the 26th you put words to it plainly: “felt stretched thin and guilty for it, snapped at my partner over nothing.” That guilt you were carrying wasn’t a fair read of what was happening. In the days before your period, your mood ran about 2.9 points lower, your energy and sleep both dropped, and your sense of connection pulled inward by more than 3 points while anxiety climbed. That whole cluster landing together, right before your period, is a real pattern, not a personal failing and not something random about you. Irritability and feeling overwhelmed were strongly present too, which lines up with a stretch where your body and your patience were both running on less.

It’s worth noticing that your average mood this cycle was about 1.2 points higher than last cycle. The Mushroom protocol happened to be running through all 28 days alongside this, though that’s just a timing note, nothing more, and not something to lean on as a cause. What matters more is the shape of your month itself: real ease early on, real strain late, and you tracking all of it honestly instead of smoothing it over.

You met a hard stretch with less mood room, less sleep, less energy, and you still kept showing up to notice how you felt. That noticing is not nothing. Whatever next cycle brings, you’ll come to it with this month’s pattern already a little more visible, and that’s something worth carrying forward gently, not as a verdict but as a piece of self-knowledge that’s yours now.

Cycle tracking, symptom markers and your cycle charts are free. The written end-of-cycle recap and PDF reports are part of Premium.

Cycle & Mood is a self-tracking and educational tool. It doesn’t diagnose PMDD, PMS, or any condition, and microdosing is not an established medical treatment for either. Nothing here is medical advice.

Made by a coach

Use it on your own, or together.

I built Lucidly because the most useful insights come from noticing what's really changing. It stands on its own, and it's there between our sessions if we work together.

If you'd like a guide alongside the data, 1:1 coaching gives you structure, knowledge and a safe space to make sense of what you're noticing. The first call is free, 30 minutes, no pressure.

Questions

Good questions.

Something else on your mind? Send a question about the app, or email me at ethan@lucidlyseen.com.

Is Lucidly only for psilocybin?

No. Lucidly supports any microdosing substance, including psilocybin, LSD, cannabis and others, and you can create custom protocols tailored to your practice.

Do I need to be working with a coach?

Not at all. Lucidly is designed for independent practitioners and for people working with a coach. If you’d like guidance, I offer 1:1 coaching, and the first call is free.

What protocols are supported?

Lucidly includes ready-made protocols (Stamets Stack, Fadiman, Intuitive and more) plus full support for custom protocols, so you can track exactly what works for you.

How does the journal respond to me?

With Premium, when you finish an entry Lucidly’s companion offers a short reflection drawn from what you wrote, often with one gentle question. Reply right there and the conversation carries on for a few turns before it settles. You can switch journal reflections off in Settings anytime.

What is Cycle & Mood?

An optional feature that tracks your period, shows your cycle phase each day, and adds seven symptom markers to your check-in. Over time it lays your mood, symptoms and doses side by side, so you can see whether your harder days follow a pattern. Turn it on or off in Settings.

Can Lucidly help with PMDD?

Cycle & Mood was built with PMDD in mind. It lets you track the days before your period closely, see how your mood, symptoms and doses move together cycle after cycle, and bring a clear report to a coach or clinician. It can’t diagnose or treat PMDD, and microdosing isn’t an established medical treatment for it.

Can I share my progress with my coach or doctor?

Yes. With Premium you can save a Protocol Insight Report or a Cycle & Mood report as a PDF and share it however you like.

How is my data stored?

Your data is securely stored with industry-standard encryption, and we never sell your information. You own your data, and a PIN lock keeps the app private on your phone.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Protocol tracking, daily check-ins, journaling, insights and Cycle & Mood tracking are all free. Premium adds the companion, with a 14-day free trial. Compare Free and Premium.
